Jennifer Sirey builds living sculptures in collaboration with acetobacter fermentation cultures, merging architecture and biology.
Her microbial forms, often referred to as living architectures, explore cycles of growth and decay and the porous boundaries between living systems and human design. These tensions align with Sirey's interest in phenomenology, and how her chosen materials act, change, and reveal themselves under controlled conditions.
