Ivana Dama creates audio-video installations, robotics, and performances, investigating sound, memory, and human experience.
Born in Belgrade during the Yugoslav wars, Dama draws on memories of air-raid sirens and shelters to explore air and sound as elemental, embodied mediums. Her installations often employ low frequencies and analog electronics to render sound material and tactile, creating connections between the corporeal and the political.
